GOOD NIGHT CHILDREN
Characters: Mom or dad (Parent on thumb of one hand, children on fingers of the other hand), big brother (thumb), big sister (pointer), three little sisters (remaining fingers). Characters can be people or animals puppets, but I usually use mice. I use a glove with each finger made to look like mice children, and a mouse finger puppet on the other hand for the parent.
Props: If desired you may draw a background of bedrooms in a house with an upstairs bedroom for the parent.
NARRATOR: It’s bed time. Mama (or papa) is working late. Papa is putting the children to bed. (Lay children puppets down.) Papa goes in to tell them goodnight.
PAPA: Goodnight children. Sleep well. (Kissing each individual child and making smacking sound.)
PAPA: Goodnight son. A little kiss. (Kissing sound) Goodnight daughter. A little kiss. (Kissing sound) Goodnight little sisters. A little kiss. (Kissing each of the little sisters.) Sleep well children. (After each kiss fold the child puppet down as if he/she were sleeping.)
PAPA: (Yawning) I’m really sleepy. I’m going to bed.
NARRATOR: Father goes up, up, up the stairs to his bedroom.
PAPA: (Yawning) I’m really sleepy. (Lay father finger puppet down to appear as if he’s sleeping.)
NARRATOR: The oldest son is hungry.
OLDEST SON: (Raise this finger up and look around.) Papa, I’m hungry. I’m hungry. (Calls in loud voice.)
OLDEST DAUGHTER: (Raise this finger up and look around.) Papa, papa. I’m hungry. (Calls in loud voice.)
THREE LITTLE SISTERS: (Raise these fingers up, look around, and say in a loud voice,) Papa, Papa. We’re hungry. We’re hungry.
NARRATOR: Papa hears the children. He’s very tired.
(Raise papa up, yawn, and move puppet down to show that he’s going down the stairs.)
NARRATOR: Papa goes down, down, down the stairs.
PAPA: Here, little children. Here’s something to eat. (Pretend papa gives food to each child and then gives each one a kiss.)
PAPA: A little kiss good night. Sleep well. (Repeat these phrases for each child and make loud kissing sound.)
NARRATOR: Papa goes back up to bed. Up, up, up the stairs. (Move puppet up to show that he’s going up.)
PAPA: (Yawning) I’m really sleepy. (Lay puppet down to appear as if he’s sleeping.)

BUENAS NOCHES NIÑOS:
Caracteres: Mamá o papá en el pulgar de una mano, los niños en los dedos de la otra mano, hermano mayor (pulgar), hermana mayor (índice), tres pequeñas hermanas (dedos restantes). Los caracteres pueden ser títeres de personas o de animales. Utilizar un guante en cada dedo para que parezcan pequeños niños ratoncitos y otro títere en la otra mano para el padre ratón.
Apuntes: Puede dibujar de fondo el dormitorio de una casa, con otro dormitorio en la parte de arriba para los padres.
NARRADOR: Es tiempo de dormir. La mamá (o el papá) está trabajando tarde, así que el papá (o la mamá) está acostando a los niños en la cama. (Muestre los títeres de los niños.) El papá entra a des earles buenas noches.
PAPA: Buenas noches niños, duerman bien. (El papá besa a cada niño individualmente, haciendo un sonido de beso.)

NARRADOR: El padre va subiendo, subiendo, subiendo las escaleras hacia su dormitorio.
PAPA: (Bostesando) Tengo mucho sueño. (Acuéste al títere del padre, que parezca que este durmiendo.)
NARRADOR: El hijo mayor tiene hambre.
EL HIJO MAYOR: (Levante un dedo para arriba y mire alrededor.) Papá, tengo hambre. Tengo hambre. (Llamándo con voz fuerte. Actúe como si necesitara comer.)
LA HIJA MAYOR: (Levante otro dedo para arriba y mire alrededor.) Papá, papá. Tengo hambre. (Llamándo con voz fuerte.)
LAS TRES HERMANITAS: (Levante tres dedos para arriba, mire alrededor y diga con voz fuete.) Papá, papá. Tenemos hambre. Tenemos hambre. (Llamándo con voz fuerte.)
NARRADOR: El papá oye a los niños. Él está muy cansado. (Levante al papá. Mueva el títere como si estuviera bajando las escaleras.)
NARRADOR: El papá va bajándo, bajándo, bajándo las escaleras.
PAPA: ¿Qué pasa chiquitos. Estoy aquí, pequeños niños. Coman algo. No se queden con hambre. (Simular que el papá le está dando algo de comer a cada niño y después un beso a cada uno.). . . .
